Hello.
This is Dr. Song Sang-hoon, director of Golden Diamant Plastic Surgery.

Recently, we received an appreciation plaque from Motiva's headquarters (Establishment Labs) in the U.S. for being a Phase 1 Preservé™ hospital.

In fact, more than the plaque itself,
what I consider more important is
the direction of breast augmentation that Preservé™ advocates.
Breast augmentation is not simply a surgery to insert an implant and increase size.
It is a surgery that must consider the patient's body type, chest wall shape, skin thickness, glandular tissue, muscle condition, and desired contour.
Therefore, even when using the same implant,
it cannot be performed in the same way for everyone.
With Dr. Marcos Sforza, a global authority in breast augmentation

What does Preservé™ mean?
Preservé™ is a surgical approach focused on tissue preservation that Motiva aims for.
Simply put,
it is a protocol that considers how to maximize respect for the patient's tissue during surgery and minimize unnecessary damage.
What is important in breast augmentation is not simply to make it ‘big’ or ‘flashy’,
but to accurately determine the appropriate space for the patient's body and plan for stable results within reasonable limits.
When I consult for breast augmentation,
I also do not immediately discuss only the type or size of the implant.
I first examine the patient's body type,
check the skin and tissue condition, and then
explain together which direction would be the most natural and stable.

The reason this appreciation plaque was more meaningful
This appreciation plaque
was presented by Motiva headquarters to hospitals that completed the official Preservé™ Phase 1 protocol training.
Through this process, I once again reflected on the importance of fundamentals in breast augmentation.
Surgery is ultimately about details.
Incision location, dissection range, implant pocket,
method of handling tissue, and post-operative care—
small differences can affect the outcome and recovery process.
Of course, there are individual differences in any surgery.
Pain, swelling, recovery speed, and scar response vary from person to person.
That is why accurate diagnosis and sufficient explanation are even more necessary before surgery.

What I consider good breast augmentation
What I consider good breast augmentation
is not just a surgery that looks beautiful immediately after the procedure.
I believe it should be a surgery that feels natural to the body over time,
harmonizes with the overall physique, and
that the patient can comfortably accept in their daily life.
Therefore, during consultations,
while I listen fully to the patient's desired image,
I try to honestly explain if an excessive size or a direction that doesn't suit their body type is not feasible.
Patient satisfaction is important in breast augmentation, but
safety and the recovery process must be considered equally.

Responsibility as a Preservé™ Phase 1 hospital
Receiving this appreciation plaque does not mean that something has ended.
Rather, I take it as a sign that I must provide even more responsible care in the future.
The value of tissue preservation advocated by Preservé™,
surgical planning that considers patient safety, and
the importance of ongoing care even after surgery—
I intend to continue upholding these principles in the treatment process at Golden Diamant Plastic Surgery.
While a hospital's experience and system are important in breast augmentation, ultimately, the most crucial thing is to properly assess the condition of each individual patient.
In the future,
rather than making quick surgical decisions,
I will continue to provide care that involves thorough confirmation and explanation, and then collaboratively finding the necessary direction for each patient.

If you are considering breast augmentation
If you are considering breast augmentation,
I hope you will first check if a surgical plan tailored to your body type is possible, rather than deciding based solely on implant names or sizes.
It is important to have a thorough consultation covering aspects such as:
whether it fits your chest wall,
what your skin and tissue condition are like,
whether your desired contour is realistically achievable, and
how to manage the post-operative recovery process.

As a hospital that has completed the official Preservé™ Phase 1 protocol training,
Golden Diamant Plastic Surgery will assist you with more delicate breast augmentation consultations and surgical planning that considers the patient's body type and tissue condition.
The appreciation plaque is an outcome, but the direction it embodies will continue to guide our future practice.

If you are considering breast augmentation,
rather than drastic changes, please confirm through sufficient pre-surgical consultation what natural direction suits your body type.
Golden Diamant Plastic Surgery will continue to
meticulously examine the condition of each individual and
accompany you with more careful and delicate care.
Thank you.
