matters!

Physiologically the subnasal soft tissue stops secretions such as nasal mucus
from running straight down, helping to maintain humidity inside the nose

Why does the subnasal soft tissue disappear

    Where the incision line of a bull-horn-shaped subnasal philtrum reduction
    passes beyond the subnasal soft tissue into the inside of the nose,
    the philtrum skin is displaced into the position of the original subnasal soft tissue,
    so the typical shape of the subnasal soft tissue is lost and the area becomes flat;
    sometimes the moustache that was on the philtrum may grow on the subnasal area.

    This phenomenon occurs where the subnasal soft tissue was low and weak to begin with and
    philtrum reduction is performed without also using a technique that reinforces
    the low subnasal soft tissue while minimising change to it
    during subnasal philtrum reduction.

Ways of restoring the subnasal soft tissue
Is complete restoration difficult?

Because the typical skin of the original subnasal soft tissue has been removed,
it cannot return to exactly the same previous form, but
surgery can be performed so that the form of the subnasal soft tissue
is restored as far as possible, using a flap and a dermal graft.

A single operation brings some degree of improvement, and where necessary
a further operation later can achieve a greater improvement.

Golden Diamant continues to monitor your recovery even after surgery or a procedure is finished.

Where the medical team judges that scar care is needed because of an incision or tissue harvesting, a scar care programme using Fraxel laser and scar-reducing medication is provided up to three times at no additional cost, according to the state of recovery.

If a scar remains after basic care or further treatment is needed, the medical team checks the condition in person and advises on the care required from among more than six lasers, more than four medications and stem cell treatment.

We do not stop at the surgery or procedure; we check the course of recovery carefully and continue the care that is needed.
