Hello,
I am Song Sang-hoon, the head director of Goldendiamant Plastic Surgery.
In our previous blog post, we explored the types of scars, the golden time for treatment, and seven laser solutions for skin regeneration.
However, as a board-certified plastic surgeon, I want to emphasize that
lasers are not the only solution.

The true magic of scar treatment is completed by what ‘nutrition’ you fill into the path opened by the laser,
in other words, through drug therapy.
If lasers play the role of breaking down and rebuilding the skin, then drugs are like the essential building materials that assist in that process.
First, one of the most commonly known regenerative solutions is
Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP)

This involves drawing your own blood and extracting highly concentrated platelet components.
The abundant growth factors obtained from your own blood induce the regeneration of damaged tissue and
dramatically accelerate wound healing.
Since it uses your own blood, there is less concern about allergies or side effects,
making it a very effective initial treatment for those who desire safe and natural recovery.
Six Drug Solutions to Enhance the Completeness of Scar Treatment

Triamcinolone (Triam)
This is the primary treatment for raised hypertrophic scars or keloids.
It suppresses excessive collagen proliferation, flattening the scar and alleviating itching or pain.
However, since it can thin the skin, it must be administered at appropriate intervals under the judgment of a specialist.

PDRN (Salmon DNA Injection)
This activates cell growth factors through DNA fragments extracted from salmon.
It helps speed up recovery after laser procedures and builds the fundamental strength to enhance overall skin regeneration.

Rejuran
By injecting PN components directly into the dermal layer, it restores the skin's thickness itself.
It has excellent wound healing promotion effects, making it effective for improving thinned skin or subtle atrophic scars.

Juvelook
It acts as a ‘collagen factory’ that continuously induces collagen synthesis.
It provides volume and elasticity, making it suitable for those stressed by widespread acne scars or pitted skin, and its effects are long-lasting.

Exosome
As a signaling substance of stem cells, it maximizes intercellular regenerative capabilities.
When absorbed through micro-channels created by lasers, it offers anti-inflammatory effects and
is an all-round solution that helps improve skin texture and pores.

QTiCell
This is a premium line based on exosomes, and specifically,
‘Origin with Exosome’
is specialized in scar and skin regeneration.
It has a high growth factor content and is used to boost the regenerative power of deep scars.
The Ongoing Battle Outside the Hospital: Essential Home Care Guide
If hospital treatment is half the battle, the other half depends on home care.
These are essential rules to maintain treatment effects and prevent side effects.

Things you must do (DO)
o Thorough moisturizing: The skin barrier in the scar area is weakened, so apply moisturizer carefully 2-3 times a day.
o Sun protection: If scars are exposed to UV rays, they can become brown. Always use sunscreen with SPF 50, PA+++ or higher.
o Use silicone products: Silicone gels or sheets help reduce moisture loss and inhibit excessive collagen proliferation.

Things you must never do (DON’T)
o Do not forcibly remove scabs: Forcibly removing scabs can worsen inflammation and enlarge the scar.
o Do not touch with contaminated hands: Secondary infection is the biggest enemy of scar treatment.
o Refrain from unverified home remedies: Applying toothpaste or aloe indiscriminately will only cause skin irritation.
The key is to appropriately combine lasers and drugs according to your scar condition.
Only when these two processes—creating a path with lasers and filling it with nutrition through drugs—are performed together can you expect smooth, scar-free skin.
